Wash some sense into your gear. If you find your clothing and equipment just isn't as up to par as it used to be, don't just toss it, revitalize it. Tech Wash® is a non-detergent cleaning solution, that unsurfaced the breathability and repellency in your jackets and tents, and pumps it back full of life. Normal detergents can shed away your gears protective layers, where as this cleans and makes that protection shine out. If your gear is really old, this cleaner helps prep it for re-waterproofing, so your favorite jacket or tent, can stay your number one adventurous go-to.

  • For technical hardshell and softshell performance outerwear
  • Safely cleans technical synthetic outerwear, without degrading existing DWR
  • Enhances the performance of NIKWAX® waterproofing treatments
  • Prolongs the effective life-span of technical outerwear
  • 100% Water based and Biodegradable
  • Contains NO fluorocarbons or VOCs
  • Use NIKWAX® Tech Wash® in a washing machine
  • Use undiluted Tech Wash® and a sponge, or soft nylon brush, to treat stubborn stains before washing
  • Remove all non-washable parts
  • Shake well before use
  • Follow care label instructions
  • Do not use detergents
Directions for Top Loading Machine Wash:
  • Place maximum 6 garments in washing machine
  • After the machine has filled, (5floz or 150ml for 1-3 garments and 8floz or 250ml for 4-6 garments)
  • Set cycle to Heavy and Warm: 1-3 items is low water level, 4-6 items is a medium water level
Directions for Front Loading Machine Wash:
  • Remove all detergent from detergent dispenser
  • Place maximum of 2 garments in washing machine
  • Add 3 fl. oz or 100ml of Tech Wash®
  • Set cycle to Synthetics and Warm (30oC)
  • If you have calcium and mineral deposits in your washing machine you have hard water
  • Can also be applied by hand
  • Use gloves
  • Immerse item(s) in 6 Liters of hand-hot water, in sink or bowl
  • Use 2 fl oz or 50ml per item in soft water areas. Add an additional 50ml per garment in hard water* areas
  • Agitate to mix
  • Rinse 3 times in clean water
  • If the item doesn’t require re-waterproofing, air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows
  • If you intend to re-waterproof the washed item, there is no need to dry it first
